Children with autism have difficulty learning a new language, including their first language. They learn better when they are exposed to visual components, such as an image accompanying a word, rather than just the word. Using our app, children with autism can learn how to read, write, and speak Spanish easier because we have various images with the words. We hope to increase the rate of learning and literacy of children, and make learning a new language, not just easy, but fun.There are various buttons that allow you to construct sentences that you would use in everyday life. The verbs automatically conjugate based on the noun, which makes it easier to type in your desired sentence/thoughts. We are planning on creating an interface to add new words and images, multiple pages, and a text to speech functionality.
